Lauren and Steven’s beautiful Casa Cody wedding was full of sunshine, tacos, and dancing…is there anything better?! Kelsey Rae Designs helped the couple bring a New York vibe to the California desert and made it all feel effortlessly chic. Love Her Madly took cues from the Spanish-style venue to create floral arrangements in neutral tones with moody pops of color that added elegance without taking anything away from the inherent charm. To round out the day, the couple served tacos, classic deli staples, ice cream sandwiches, and custom cocktails in a tiny mobile bar, all of which spoke to the couple’s fun-loving (and food-loving!) nature. Photographers Joe+Kathrina captured every moment of this wedding beautifully, especially the couple’s post-ceremony portraits in the windmill-studded desert! The Couple: Lauren and Steven The Wedding: Casa Cody, Palm Springs, California We chose Palm Springs because Lauren‘s family used to vacation there as when she was a kid and because we knew that it would offer such a unique California experience. And finding Casa Cody was love at first sight! We visited a handful of other venues but nothing else compared. It is just a gorgeous, unique, historical property. We wanted to feel like we were hanging out in a backyard full of the people […]Read More

As the final event before the big day, the rehearsal dinner is essentially the bridge that takes the couple, the family, and the wedding party from planning mode to wedding weekend party mode! While the general idea of the rehearsal dinner has remained the same, the execution and expectations have definitely evolved through the years. So, in order to help you plan the perfect rehearsal dinner to kick off your wedding weekend, we’ve put together the ultimate guide with answers to the most common questions, theme ideas, and outfit suggestions. photo by Blossom&Co COMMON QUESTIONS Who pays for the rehearsal dinner? Traditionally, one side of the family — typically the side that’s not helping pay for the wedding — will pay for the rehearsal dinner. However, more and more couples today are either paying for the rehearsal dinner themselves or splitting with both sides of the family. If one partner’s parents are more traditional or you’re looking for ways to get the in-laws involved, this is a great opportunity to do that. It will give them a substantial role in the wedding weekend and will take one thing off your to-do list, which is a serious win-win! Who is invited? The […]Read More

Corinne and Joseph’s wedding at Terrain at Styer’s was essentially a rustic and ethereal garden dream come to life! The couple embraced the natural feel of the venue and added only minimal, heartfelt details to make the space feel truly personalized. Florist Julie D’Agostino took their vision of stepping into an organic garden and created the prettiest floral arrangements in a soft palette of pinks, whites, and greens, which looked absolutely gorgeous against all the greenery within the grounds. This wedding was full of warmth, full of love, and full of beautifully curated details, all of which Patrick Robinson Photography captured with such ease and grace. The Couple: Corinne and Joseph The Wedding: Terrain at Styer’s, Glenn Mills, Pennsylvania The most important thing to us in planning our wedding was to have it feel more like an intimate gathering than a large formal wedding. We live quite far from our friends and family and wanted to be able to remember and spend as much time as we could on this special with our nearest and dearest. Before we were ever engaged, my girlfriends and I spent hours planning our “dream weddings” by searching blogs and websites, and that’s when I stumbled upon Terrain at Styer’s. I instantly […]Read More
It was love at first sight when Jessica and Kyle stepped into Meadow Hill Farm! This venue was made for bohemian, rustic weddings and those were the exact vibes this creative couple wanted for their special day. Sarandipity Floral added stunning arrangements everywhere, adding boho-chic colors and textures to every nook and cranny of this already gorgeous venue. Between the floral hoops, the macrame, the autumnal colors, the sparkly details, and all the cozy decor, we weren’t joking when we said this wedding gave us heart eyes! The cherry on top had to be Jessica’s incredible Calla Blanche lace gown and diamond and pearl headpiece created by Maria Juliet Feliciano. No detail was left unattended, and Lauren White Photography captured it all brilliantly! The Couple: Jessica and Kyle The Wedding: Meadow Hill Farm, Nashville, TennesseeRead More
Anna-Leigh and Paul’s celebration at Domaine Du Beyssac was everything we love about French weddings, and so much more! The couple focused on creating the most joyful day with all their loved ones, and the results were nothing short of stunning. With the help of Awardweddings, they hung ribbons in the “happy” ceremony tree, used wildflowers arranged by Les Ideales for the tables and bouquets, and dressed up the historic site with colorful lanterns. The vibe was casual, summer chic, and Susie Kelly Photography captured it so all beautifully. From the raw emotions to the unbelievable sunset over the French countryside, everything about this destination wedding was truly unforgettable! The Couple: Anna-Leigh and Paul The Wedding: Domaine Du Beyssac, Toulouse, France As it was a destination wedding, it was so important that we made it easy for our guests to get to our venue. They were already making the journey to France from Ireland and some of our friends and family even came from Vancouver and New York. So we made a website with a list of hotels in Toulouse city as our venue was 50 minutes outside the city and then had a coach collect all our guests the day of the wedding and bring them to […]Read More

But, we’re here to tell you that your wedding reception décor doesn’t need to be complicated and it doesn’t need to break the bank! With some creative substitutions and a focus on the overall feel rather than the tiny details, you’ll find that decorating your wedding reception on a budget is actually easier than you think. Here are our best tips to make your vision come to life while keeping your wallet happy! photo by Cody & Allison Photography 1. Use items from your own home. Poufs, pillows, blankets, chairs, rugs, wall hangings…all things that can easily be transported from your home to your reception venue. We’ve even seen couples rent a moving truck to haul couches and tables for use in their venue! Look around your house and get creative with ways you could use some of the décor you already own to decorate your wedding reception. In addition to saving money, you guarantee your wedding will feel like “you.” photo by Pat Furey Photo 2. Repurpose your ceremony décor. Becca and Devin gave classic style a modern flair in their Seattle wedding at Trinity Tree Farm! Their indoor and outdoor celebration started with a ceremony in the venue’s lush garden, backed by the prettiest greenery and rose-accented arch. Then they moved inside for a sophisticated reception in the grand, all-white lodge, which sparkled with the warm glow of twinkle lights and candles. Florists Remi + Gold created arrangements in fresh pinks and whites that looked gorgeous in both in the indoor and outdoor space and would be the perfect inspiration for any summertime wedding. From getting ready with their loved ones to cuddling in the venue’s tree farm, photographer Hannah Posey didn’t miss a beat in capturing every angle of this sophisticated and outdoorsy celebration! The Couple: Becca and Devin The Wedding: Trinity Tree Farm, Seattle, Washington We wanted our wedding to reflect the two of us more than anything. We made a rule early on that there were no rules—we weren’t going to do something just because it’s what most people do. We wanted it to be simple and enjoyable, and we wanted our guests to thoroughly enjoy the entire event. The most memorable part for us was finally having all of our […]Read More
